The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, a private, non-governmental board of school education in India, for class 10, i.e., grade 10. It has been designed to provide an examination in a course of general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986 (India), through the medium of English.
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (abbreviated as CISCE) is a national level, private, Board of School education in India that conducts the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and the Indian School Certificate examinations for Class X and Class XII respectively. It was established in 1958.
The school offers an Advanced Placement (AP) programme in standards 11 and 12.
It is a college level syllabus working towards an exam every May, conducted by the College Board in the US. It challanges the serious student in Calculus,Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Statistics, Physics, History, English Literatureand English Language.

Dr. Srinivasan Venkat Krishnan Iyer popularly known as Dr. S. V. Krishnan in the literary circles. He was instrumental in getting recognition from the ICSE council to a number of institutions.
It was the year 1991 when he joined the Hiranandani Foundation School as a Principal. Before that he was a visiting faculty to the school. He believed in the dictum that only discipline can churn out brilliant students.
There is no end to the activities of a person of his caliber as he was always looking forward to innovative perfection with all dedication. Ultimately he served till his last minute to the cause of education.
